Just wondering if I’m the only one who named their Ts funny names. My first tarantula was a B. albopilosum and was named Mr. Foodles :D

I have a B. albo I affectionately call “Curly Butt” (his real name is Peter) and also an A. avic named Professor Pink-Toes:D I actually didn’t name Professor Pink-Toes, her last owner did and I just thought the name was so endearing, I didn’t have the heart to change it

I think my Ts gave funny names. I have Ts named after all of the Ramones, not exactly funny but I do think it is fitting that my two GBBs are named after the drummers (Markie and Tommy, respectively).

"Glenn Danzig" is the name of my Phormictopus auratus. My fuzzy spider's namesake, if you don't know, is a musician and former lead singer of the Misfits who is famously known for being a big moody jerk, so it seemed fitting.

"Sophia Beetlejuice" is my large female Nhandu chromatus. My daughter insisted on naming her after her favorite cartoon princess but I had to add Beetlejuice because of the black and white stripes. PLUS she showed up looking gnarly and kicked off almost all of her abdomen hair on her trip from the Midwest (she hated the Dakotas) so the name fit.

I also have my only OW pet hole A. ezendami named "Furio", basically named after an Italian pet hole fanatic.

I don't really name them, per se, but I have a tendency to nickname things I like. So what happens is I go to feed or water one of the tarantulas and feel the need to anthropomorphize, so I might say, hey Hank McCoy which is my weird way of calling my Cobalt Blue, Beast, and it isn't because she is beastly, but because she is blue. Just like I might go to the Burmese Mustard and ask the "Colonel" if it was Mrs. White in the library with the candlesticks. They don't answer and they are not amused, and they have no idea they were part of a weird unfunny joke.

My other humans seem to think everything needs a name. Name em, don't name em, do your thing.
