My B. hamorii is named Velma. Velma the brachypelma. She looks like the scooby doo character, all orange and looking for her glasses.

My G. pulchripes is Sir Archibald Clovington OMS

My Euathlus sp. red is called Ygritte, like the GOT character. I have a 2nd instar B. albopilosum that came with her as a freebie, and his name is John snow.

My GBB is called Blu

My adult B. albopilosum is X’tabay, after the Mayan demon who lured men to their deaths with her luscious hair.

My G. pulchripes sling is called Peter Parker.

My Genic sling is called barcode.

That’s all for now XD

I've only named two of my T's (so far). I named my f G. pulchra Prissy. The story behind her name is her dislike any dampness in her substrate. One day I accidentally overfilled her water dish making a 3 inch long - 1 inch wide damp spot, which resulted in her marching out of her hide, Abdomen held high, each leg lifting as high as possible, as if she were wading through a deep swamp. After I recovered from a fit of laughter (believe me, it was hilarious), I scooped the offending damp soil out, and within seconds she went back to normal. I was going to call her Drama Queen, but I liked Prissy better.

I named my f T. stirmi Sweetpea, because of her sweet, gentle nature;)

L. parahybana - Pytãngy (pink in Guarani)
A. geniculata - Lucius
P. muticus - Rostkaiser(in) or Rusty for short
P. murinus - Cuddles
P. subfusca - දිගු කකුල් (digu kaku) (loosely translatted as long legged in Sinhala)
P. vittata - Paranoia
H. maculata - Liaisons

I got a lot of flak at work for not naming them so I just went for it. I pretty much only use the names in general conversation because friends/family don't bother with the binomials.

The funniest names are like, normal human names. Like I'd lose my mind if someone was like: "Here's my tarantula: Susan."

I named my G. pulchripes Gro. It's supposed to be a female Norwegian name. However, recently it has been pointed out to me that it's also the guy's name from Despicable Me (pronounced the same, spelled differently). I guess the name will fit either way when it grows up:p.
