For months, Bulldozer (Grammostola pulchra) has had a large leaf as a mat in her enclosure, since she seems to like having different textures to be on. (On a few previous occasions, I watched her try to drag the leaf before, but she didn't seem to realize that she couldn't drag it while she was sitting on it.)

Today, after she pooped in her water dish, she dragged her leaf into the dish (to cover the evidence!) and pulled her rubber mat closer to the dish.

Bulldozer dragged her leaf "rug" into her water dish, dragged her rubber mat next to the dish...

When I pulled the leaf aside to remove and clean the dish, she grabbed the leaf and wouldn't let go (or get out of the dish).

Hopefully this is a cute thing and nothing to be alarmed about (searched and found nothing) but my C. Versicolor sling must *MUST* do 4 laps around the enclosure before taking a meal. I drop the cricket (crushed head) in and the sling slowly walks to the side and does 4 laps before grabbing the cricket. I'm going to try to get a video of it tomorrow.

The water dish flipping in the exact same spot baumgarteni moved the water dish all the way to other end, propped it up in a corner and left it 'dirty'. The opposite of what it did before. Must be absolutely livid at me. As I publicly embarrassed it yet again, curious what it will do in a fit of soon, ha!

That's pretty cute and interesting idea to give various objects that aren't mainly for decoration/shelter/web points. Do this for little slings(which most of mine are) too or is it mainly juveniles/adults?

I have these leaves in both of my juvenile Grammostola pulchra enclosures. Dozer likes to sit on them, whereas Flash is a pet hide. (She keeps herself sealed in whether she is in pre-molt or not.)

My sling enclosures don't have those, because there is limited space.

The slightly larger (although still only about 1cm DLS) of my 2 Cyriocosmus elegans slings just started threat posturing and slapping the substrate when I tried to feed it a roach nymph.

I'm just chuckling to myself like "Allow it bruv, you're about half the size of my pinky nail so stop gwarning like you're bad"

I think they get it from me to be honest, either that or I just attract weirdos

my lil b. hamorii (previously b. smithi) is a very silly girl with her water dish. She likes to fill it up with dirt and then be like 'where'd the water go?? :::c", lately she's just been sitting in the dish when it's empty.

My Versicolor sling will sit underneath the lid of her enclosure and poke the tip of a leg through. Looks like she's trying to say hello!

Just the usual spider doing spidery things rehouse my Davus. pentaloris a week after molt set up the enclosure beautifully to look at as well as adequate for "her" needs give her a partially buried hide and add a little moss that she seems to like to incorporate into her webbing. she comes out of cup into enclosure walks straight into her hide perfect. Next day her hide entrance has been dug out and she has gather up all the moss to make her home on top of the hide while her hide is completely empty.

Every night my sling will start to dig a hole and every day he will fill it up! He does this endlessly. Maybe I should put sticky notes in his enclosure reminding him of what he's done

My a. Seemani does this staredown with her prey all the time. I know she doesnt actually see well, but i think its pretty funny.

My b bohemi (mex fire leg) lives up off the ground on its bark mostly like an aboreal. Minus the webbing I’ll give her more substrate soon, but most likely have same result .

That is the top of a plumbing "boot." (You cut the top off until it is the size you need for flashing around a plumbing stack.)

It's not really worth it to buy that just for a spider, but my husband had some left over. If you know someone who does metal roofing, you could get some for free.

My Araneus diadematus will throw its legs up into the air (guessing a threat posture) when I say "Hi" to it. It looks like it's saying "Hi" back.
