If you need a wood to mix in for millipedes, I use aspen shavings and some rotten oak. I still don’t know if the aspen is safe for stag beetles.
I had no clue, my Millipedes have been munching away on it for months now as I was told it was better than coconut fibre. I'll get that changed. Heading into the woods tonight so I'll see what I can find

I've changed up their substrate, just got to collect some more oak and bramble for them when I get the chance (their favourites). Substrate now has much more rotted wood etc in it.
