Well I'm going to be completely boring lol, cause I only have the one scorp just now, but I like my Pandinus, cavimanus, cause it's more defencive than the emps and has better colouration with the dark red claws etc.

Well, most of mine, or all of mine have yet to reach maturity.

I can't say I have a favorite. I have a favorite type of scorpion though! Bark scorpions!

But if I had to choose I would go with this order

B. jacksoni: Very colorful, pretty calm, usually wont eat from tongs but they'll eat the second the prey item hits the ground!

C. limbatus (probable): Really nice color pattern on the scorpling, readily eats out of tongs. Pretty active.

C. gracilis: Not very timid. Will eat out of tongs. Usually not hiding.

C. hentzi: Almost always hiding. Eats only half the time. But I do like the coloration.

There's so many more bark scorpions I want!

Wow, that is an awesome looking scorpion. Do you have any links for care, lifespan, living conditions, natural habitat etc?

I'm really intrigued by parth scorps, and to a lesser extent communal species.

Pretty limited experience in keeping since I just got my second species....but I guess out of my collection Centruroides hentzi is my favorite.

AzJohn has kept these and I think he might have a couple. I asked if he was willing to sell some, but he is trying to breed them. He might have babies, but I'm not sure. Ask him about them.

They come from Madagascar and are classified as bark scorpions. I know the scorpion files has a biography on a smiler species here: http://www.ntnu.no/ub/scorpion-files/g_madagascarensis_biography.pdf . This also has some good info and it's Polish, I translated it: http://translate.google.com/transla...a=X&ei=-uYBUYOQJOGEyAGsjoHgDg&ved=0CG4Q7gEwBw .

C. sculp... They're more docile than emperors. Even babies wont try to run from you or sting you. I just love em!

Smeringurus mesaensis(Dune Scorpion) is my favorite, my Kuma(her name) comes out every night and I've never seen a scorpion hunt its prey down so fast and methodically! Absolutely love her!

I was thinking of getting one, but then I got stung twice by two different scorpions. The pain wasn't bad but it made me reconsider.

All Androctonus sp.
Especially A. Mauritanicus. Love they're communal behavior and they're massive tails. All andros are also very hardy if given the right housing and feeding. However a. Australis are prone to mycosis pretty easily.

If I'm only speaking of the current scorps in my collection, I'd have to say P. imperator. I like their massive size, and that they can be handled easily. Not to mention, I'm a sucker for communal species. Although, high on my wishlist is C. gracilis and B. jacksoni! :)
