Well today was the day. I pulled the sac and all went well, Extemely well. She was really agressive and I have never seen her like this but she gave me a chance to pull it. (at least I like to think of it like that lol.) I pulled without difficulty.
I just could not beleive the amount of eggs that came out the sac. I think its the most EVER!!!

320 Eggs!!!
There was 10 bad ones so 310 good ones. Still over the max amount I came to expect from this species! (300)

None are eggs with legs. I decided to pull early due to it getting cold and felt that it was best to continue to offer them warmth and humidity in an incubator for maximum survival. I am so happy to have gotten this far. I feel really good!
So without further delay, Here is the video and pictures. You will see how mad she was. Full force threat. Actually charging out of her nest. I was tearing gently and she just fully opened it up. Attacked ruler 3 time. If you listen closely you can hear her fangs hit the metal ruler. Truly amazing sight!

After she got the empty sac, she rebuilt her nest, sealing herself in once again. There is a part of me that is hurting for her. She still thinks the sac is full and that is heartbreaking. She holds the sac dealy and even rotates it! (I actually saw this) She is a good mother!

The bad ones!

All I can say is WOW!

too kewl!!! Your excitement is both palpable and contagious!! I would also like to reserve a few (or ten!!) if they aren't spoken for...I am not sure of protocol or if it is OK to request slings in a forum post but I would seriously like to raise a few of those buggers!

Ah, I agree, that is sad. But they will all make it, and prove what a sweet little mom she is. Congrats!

Its amazing how she leaves the egg for a few minutes to rebuild the nest but goes right back to tending them. They really do care for their young.
Its fascinating to see this side of her after seeing two years of destruction to anything live that enters the enclosure.

At least I know that she is not suffering right now.

The whole procedure took 15 minutes. She only suffered for this long looking for the sac. But she never left the nest.
