Apparently my spider room likes to derp all at once.

Psalmopoeus derpinia "Spunk" was out last night in all its "leggy gawky teenager" glory.

When I dared to look, it froze like this for about two minutes:

Then got back to working on the front porch:

Paused several times mid-derp. Just for good measure.

The moral of the story is: Don't touch my water dish, arboreal edition. 🙄

Ya know, it looks like what my versi did, making a web tunnel directly into the water dish. I wonder if that is for an increased humidity spot..?

Nope, it's not a tunnel into the dish -- it webbed over the top and blocked the dish. There are two hunting openings though. And the dish was dry for at least a few days when it started this construction project.

No clever excuses, this one's just a derp 😆

"Luckily" that wasn't even the spot I had planned for the water dish anyway 🤣 I'll give it a new one... It was time for a full size water dish regardless.

Edit: also amusing are the bits of old molt legs mixed in 🤣

Ursula my pamphobeteus ultramarinus decided after putting sub in her water that her dish looked like a tyre and sat in it for a good 20 minutes like she was going down a lazy river ride 😆

She hid under it as soon as I started taking pics of her in her new outfit, apparently her foot was super interesting 😆

Eve, Citharacanthus cyaneus juvenile female, spent a good 20 minutes digging upside-down like that.... not sure why she had to do it upside-down but apparently she did 😆
