Whether you're mature or not is up to your parents to decide. I don't know of any bite reports dealing with young adolescents, but in fully grown adults they can cause serious symptoms. It's quite possible the symptoms could be worse in someone so young. Not much research has been done and the most anyone can tell you is that you are "unlikely" to be killed.

You are also unlikely to be killed by a Black Widow or Deathstalker.

No but it is the parents'decision on whether or not their child owns a venomous animal.

Correct, but one still needs caution and experience to deal with a potentially lethal animal.

i dont think its proper saying your parents can decide if your mature enough to own a old world. a T yes but they[the adults] SHOULD do research on it before giving you the go ahead in my book..
because i can say my 15 yr old brothers mature enough for a venomous animal.. but knowing hes so young and how most of the venom's work. i wouldnt trust him with any old world even as a display animal.. even tho he acts mature, does not mean his mind is actually mature enough to decide some things..

Really just answer this question....seeing as your a guy.....
Lets say a girl that you liked was walking down the street and you were riding your bike by her, would you pop a wheelie as you went by(if you could) or would you just wave and keep riding?

The answer to this will let you make the right call if your ready(mature enough) : )

You dont even have to post the answer here, just know to yourself what the answer is.
