I thought Cyclosternum was the senior synonym?

Davus is such a boring name.

Cyclosternum is still Cyclosternum is my understanding that fasciatus/fasciatum has been returned to Davus other Cyclosternum like C.gaujoni have not (they do not have fused spermo's like fasciatus/fasciatum).

Ah, now I understand. So Davus has just been removed from synonymy with Cyclosternum.

99% sure but not been able to get hold of it to check :8o but far as i can tell Davus has it's spermo fused at least at the base were as Cyclosternum.sp does not (or at least most of them don't)..

I think I will stand aside of the taxanomic debate and just say, they sure are beautiful critters! :D

Sometimes impulse buys can be a good thing...got a deal on this one I couldn't resist, so I took her (I hope...unsexed) home.

She's around 2.5"

Wow, s/he's gorgeous. Those are great pictures. I had a male a few years back. When he matured he was about 1.5 inches. I don't know if he was on the shrimpy side though.

Very nice T. Seems I've seen one who looks very similar recently. Hmm, wonder why *she* looks so familiar? Either way, can't wait to see her as she gets bigger.
