nice hapolpelma cambodia!! i wonder if we have these here in the states yet??
yes, they look very similar. But as far as I know, Ornithoctonus spec. Malthai was collected in Thailand and Haplopelma spec. Cambodia in ....Cambodia.the sp."Cambodia" you show here looks similar to what ive seen as sp."Malthai"
who knows if there the same tho.
I try my best to take a picture of the sternum without getting bit.For my own curiosity, I'd love to see a picture of the sternum of your sp. "Cambodia". If you could share one, I'd appreciate it. If not, no worries.
well it appears by the shape of the sternum this may prove to be the Malthai species.the longish sternum points to Ornithoctonus.Haplopelma have a more roundish shape.Hi,
here is a picture of the sternum of Haplopelma spec. Cambodia:
I hope you can do anything with that Eric.
regards,
Sascha
why not look at the stridulating organ and be sure it is Haplopelma or not?well it appears by the shape of the sternum this may prove to be the Malthai species.the longish sternum points to Ornithoctonus.Haplopelma have a more roundish shape.
