Haplopelma albostriatum making eggsac

Another female Haplopelma albostriatum.

She turned out to be ready to become mother - she has got 1.4'' (~3.5cm) of bodylength. The cocoon has 0.8'' (~2cm) diagonally. (priZZ - not only your female is very small ;) )

great pics!hey how often do these guys stay out in the open?are they a more shy species?or do u see them alot

Sold as O. costale, (but get's bigger than the 'other' costale). If I can figure it out, I can't imagine the sellers are not aware also...

She´s a good eater, and my trick is not to feed her "too much"....

Freshly molted H.hainanum adult female...what a beauty.





And the lump between the abdomen and carapace has gotten a lot smaller, woohoo :D

Here's my last girl! I don't find this specie terribly mean. They would prefer to run away, they are really easy to rehouse--or get packed for travel! You have to really provoke them to get a threat. But when out in their full blue glory......
