This is my Psalmopoeus pulcher Puddin , she's a juvenile female and my favourite arboreal tarantula in my collection (shhhh don't tell the others) she has recently been rehoused into a 20x20x30 (8x8x12) and I caught her today coming down for a drink , I got a few pics so I thought I would put them on here instead of clogging up the media feed πŸ˜† 20230405_095535.jpg 20230405_095523.jpg 20230405_095519.jpg 20230405_095457.jpg
There is reflection but I knew if I moved the vivs infront of hers she wasn't going to stay so please excuse it 😊

New birthday spoods eventually turned up yesterday was so excited to get these as they are all sp I adore, even if Nina isn't what she's ment to be.(You'll see)

This is Norma Jean my new Nhandu tripepii juvenile female she took a few hours to come out but once she did 😍 she's not as big as I expected but gorgeous non the less. 20230427_190742.jpg 20230427_190842.jpg
She ate straight away and this morning I got up to a pile of dirt infront of her new burrow 😊

This is Baby , my brachypelma baumgarteni in her temporary enclosure she was ment to be 1cm and is more like 2 inches so I imagine after a moult she will need a new enclosure. 20230428_072518(0).jpg
Again she ate straight away and as you see this morning is sprawled and quite at ease in her new home.

And this is Nina my new Nhandu coloratovillosus juvenile female...do you see something wrong yer she's a chromatis not a coloratovillosus.( I have contacted the seller and am waiting for a reply. ) She is stunning still and I already adore her (she has tude 😁 ) so even if the seller responds I doubt I will send her bk. 20230427_142041.jpg 20230427_121928(0).jpg
She was the first to venture out and have food (with in 30 mins 😊) then had a go at my tongs coz I tried to remove her travel pot 🀣 today she has settled on top of her corkbark and seems quite content.

I also got a tiny psalmopoeus pulcher sling as a freebie for my order being 16 days late but its so tiny all my phone would focus on was little feet 20230427_121050.jpg
He is called Treacle I didn't offer food straight away I gave him the night to find a home where he is comfortable in his pot , I will try and feed him this afternoon.

Welcome to the family baby's 😊

Gwen my beautiful L. sazimai female (still need to change her label) looking perfect by torchlight πŸ₯°
20230905_060129.jpg
Namaari, Nhandu caraponensis saf showing off that red floof, can never get the blue and red to show at the same time soon as you can see the red it makes the steel blue of her body a gray/brown. She is truly stunning though.
20230905_055915.jpg
Cookie my Tliltocatl albopilosus Honduran saf, anyone who says Honduran aren't as floofy is wrong, this girl was bought as a 'pure blood' Honduran and her floof is epic . Kinda reminds me of the victorian mutton sleeves πŸ˜†
20230903_143710.jpg
Orwen 1 of 3 sac mates Thrixopelma ockerti, looking super cute 2 weeks post moult. Always hungry and leaves nothing standing. Gotta love a Thrixopelma 😊

After a week she webbed choosing to ignore the hide n opt for the bk instead 20230722_092656.jpg
She's chosen to live like that for the past 3 months till yesterday when she did this πŸ˜† 20230911_061113.jpg 20230910_184205(0).jpg
She has literally put up a wall, given herself maybe 15cm wide space πŸ˜† alright girl I get the message 🀣🀣🀣 Diva was definitely the right name for her πŸ˜‚

I love this thread! Such a beautiful collection, and such variety! It is clear that you adore them. I live somewhere that our species access is really restricted, so I dream of collections like this...I applaud your creativity and joy in spider pursuits :) That cake is a stunner, too.

And speaking of spider cakes I feel like there should be a new thread devoted to spider-themed baking pursuits.

Ursula Pamphobeteus ultramarinus juvenile female getting so bold as she gets bigger often find her sat out now .
20231129_182525(0).jpg
Ginger Avicularia minatrix sling one of the newer babys and has not disappointed at all, stuffing her face in this pic πŸ˜†
20231129_183552.jpg
Grimis Theraphosinae sp Roatan such a little piggy, this tiny sling will literally take on anything no matter how big it is πŸ˜† . Don't worry that worm was chopped up beheaded and dead before Grimis got it πŸ˜‰ not that it would have mattered to Grimis they are so bold they probably would have took it on dead or alive .
20231129_183304.jpg
Sally Aphonopelma serratum unsexed grown on sling . Got so dark with that last moult was pleasantly surprised when they changed from beige to black/blue in one moult at 1.5 inches 😊, thought it was going to take years with her being an aphonopelma but only took 8 months to get from 1/4 inch to 2 inches.

After coming with a split on her side and infested with mites 2 moults later fully fixed and an eating machine Amaterasu my Psalmopoeus irminia female has been moved into her big girl viv 😊😁πŸ₯° I am so proud of how this girl has come on , the rehouse was perfect she walked straight out into the new viv and claimed one of her 2 cork tubes and has been happily webbing her new home. 20240102_151050.jpg 20240102_151104.jpg 20240102_151132.jpg
After a mooch about she seems to have chosen the cork tube that is visible rather then the one behind her plant but I have no complaints I am just happy to see her in and settled and out of quarantine.

Arboreal vivs for @ladyratri to see 😊

First off my most recent viv with tubes instead of half rounds or flats for my Psalmopoeus irminia female Amaterasu. She went straight in and settled , she has 2 corkbark rounds in there one behind the plant one that sticks out , the one that sticks out had 2 openings and it's the one she adopted as her home , the other behind the plant was put upside-down so the 2 openings it did have became tree roots . She has sealed her tube so I can't see her atm but atleast the viv looks pretty while she hides πŸ˜†

Her viv 20240111_085515.jpg
The dirt pulg in the top she made on her first night in there πŸ˜†
20240111_075335.jpg

This is Puddin psalmopoeus pulcher female viv .I used the half corkbark round and after 2 weeks she hadn't settled so I put a backboard on to help her settleand she did withina day of it being on. She has since claimed behind the bark and webbed tunnles in it but hasn't webbed the glass and she destroyed everything I put in except the flowers n I think they only got left because they were to big for her to move πŸ˜†

Just before i moved her in
Screenshot_20240111_092544_Gallery.jpg

Vs now after I had to add the backboard and she trashed it πŸ˜†
I never get to see her so I am thinking of redoing her moss and adding more decorations in the hope she comes out more she's way to pretty to hide. 20240111_085536(0).jpg

Itsy bitsy male Caribena versicolor moved him in 3 months ago, this viv has 3 corkbark flats in each corner lots of decor and he still chose the front bottom corner πŸ™„ I am contemplating taking his flat out and replacing it with tubes although itsy is not all there so a good chance he will just stay on the floor πŸ˜†

Itsy viv can see him hanging out in the front empty corner where his waterdish was ment to go it is now on the other side but the cork hides it . 20240111_085650.jpg

All these vivs are 8x8x12 inches all the same make I tried 3 different options and what I learned was the one with tubes settled much better and I will be using them from now on the t settles faster and imo they look alot better to.

As a bonus a t I no longer have as he went for breeding but my avicularia purpurea male's viv The Chairman 😊 the only arboreal I ever used a front opening viv for . I again used a large half round and again like itsy rather then use the bark he chose to web the floor under one of the mushroom I had attached to the bark. This was my first ever arboreal viv so it wasn't well planned I should of used a much smaller bark and more decor.

The Chairman's viv you can see his web coming out from the mushroom Screenshot_20240111_090458_Signal.jpg
The Chairman himself when I moved him in coz why not πŸ˜† Screenshot_20240111_090640_Signal.jpg

I hope they help you decide what would be better for your stunning purple girl , backboard or no or flat or tube whatever way I know it will look great 😊
