I am doing research to get a tarantula, can I put a juvenile tarantula with a 30mm leg span in a Kritter Keeper enclosure?

Absolutely ! I've raised juvies from 1.5" to adulthood in Kritter keepers. The main thing is to ensure there's enough substrate to prevent fall accidents. You want no more than 1.5 times the spider's legspan from substrate to lid. Do you have a species in mind ? Best of luck in your choosing and setting up its enclosure appropriately.

If they are 30mm legspan you'll want one of the smallest KK'S. bigger is not always better

A tarantula with a 30mm leg span is not really a juvenile, that’s around 1in DLS I’d consider that more a sling unless it’s a dwarf. Likely too small unless you use the absolute smallest kritter keeper.

Hi
Kritter keepers make great enclosures for some species. You only need to be careful with the size of the spider(Do not put small spiders in them) as their ventilation is slats rather than holes and depending on the manufacturer some has quite wide slats.
Tarantula will easily escape if the carapace could squeeze trough the vent slats.30mm DLS is quite a small spider .
I have few that I moded with hot glue gun to reduce the slats size.
Apart fom that they offer good clarity and are dirt cheap.

Yeah, they come in different sizes don’t they?

Do you know what size yours was @LucN ?
The ones I use are ExoTerra Faunarium Medium (PT2260). Dimensions are : 12" by 7 1/2" by 8". These are the ones I used and my Ts have flourished in them. Now, they're all adult-sized and have more than enough room to roam about.

Actually KK's are incredibly cheap, quite reliable T's enclosures since forever. A A. geniculata of mine, adult, is housed in a KK. No issues.

They do make some awfully large kritter keepers.
Ah ah, purchased a Germany KK's brand for a couple of my obligate burrowers, those are quite huge :)

Yeah, pretty sure that’s what I kept my juve OBT in years ago.

Unless it’s a small species as you wrote 😬
