Do you keep any species that aren’t from dry regions? I’m curious if more tropical, humid environment species have different live cycles (relating to dormancy and active periods)
Occasionally Solifugae from the African continent come in, but I don't buy them because of the small numbers that come in.

This one in the first pic thats black with a grey head was the species I was trying to find, is it described? does it have a species name?
I don't know the species name, but it is a Solifugae imported from Egypt during April and May. It is just about now.
They are starting to arrive again this year.

Hey Attenboroughii, amazing thread! First off this explains why my paragaleodes died after burrowing and going into premoult. I thought the bottom layer of substrate needed to be moist, and she succumbed to fungus. You may be the first person on earth to record successful captive breeding! Did you have success with the Dinorhax you posted in august 2023?
Thanks!

Yes, paragaleodes need very little humidity.

Dinorhax did not lay eggs.
I still need to get a pair during the breeding season.
It is difficult to breed this Solifugae because the females are a difficult species to obtain.
