Fifteen days after their mating attempt, both male, and female are eating well. I will take that as a good sign.

The MM is at it again.

Since 1st attempt seemed successful, I would not pair again though.

Now, three months has passed since the pairing (02/02/2022).

Both the male, and the female are very active, and are still eating well.

The male:

The female:

Yet, I do not know if the initial pairing was successful one or not. I also do not know how long does it usually take for a gravid female to produce an egg sac. I am just counting days with hopeful heart.

Should I attempt another pairing or should I just be patient a little more and keep wait?

Third attempts.
  1. Dolichothele diamantinensis
    • Successful pairing
    • Egg sac gone bad
  2. Cyriocosmus elegans
    • Successful pairing
    • The female escaped, and went missing.
  3. Homoeomma chilense
    • Successful pairing
    • Waiting for the end result

It is now slowly moving around with egg sac, but not too far away from the original spot.

Don't disturb her too much now lol, that is a very important egg sack for the US hobby ;). Seriously, well done! Did you do any post-pairing conditioning like a cool period, etc or was it husbandry as usual?

Cyriocosmus elegans
  • Successful pairing
  • The female escaped, and went missing.
Wait, you had a potentially gravid C. elegans escape? Find any free-range slings lol?

Homoeomma chilense, day three with it’s egg sac.

It is always with it’s egg sac, moving it around, rotating it around, but in rare scene, it would let go of it’s egg sac in safe spot while it is grooming itself.
