This is a beautiful tarantula! The coloration is just stunning. Just looking at pics of these babies made me drool over them. I would love to be able to have one of these! Such a beauty!

Does anyone own one of these? If so, what are your experiences with them? How do they differ from the B hamorii in temprement and such?

I have both smithi and hamori in my collection and i have to agree with @The Grym Reaper smithi tend to be a little more nervous/skittish, mine is more inclined to flick aswell. As for everything else they tend to grow at a similar pace eat about the same and i guess they look the same.this is my smithi top and hamori bottom IMG_20180326_111511614_HDR.jpg IMG_20170821_110358067.jpg

I have a B hamorii sling. He/she is really skittish right now, but I love him/her. Those pics of the B annitha are just stunning! If I can ever find a sling for sale it will be coming home with me :)

They're both beautiful species in their own right and they do make that classic great addition to any collection whether you're a new keeper or a more experienced keeper.
For myself on a personal level though i don't even consider these 2 in my top 5 Brachypelma, of all the red legged Brachypelma i think emilia is the most beautiful and along with emilia the others that rank above these imo are auratum, albopilosum (it's a love affair), klaasi, schroederi and finally 2 that have appetites to rival anything i own they are kahlenbergi and one of the most underrated tarantulas out there verdezi a dull grey/brown/black with real character

Correction...it could also be a B.baumgarteni. Or a hybrid emilia-boehmei.
@Exoskeleton Invertebrates , any thoughts?
Brachypelma baumgarteni highly doubt it. Unless he paid about $100.00 or more for it and was told it was a hamorii than yes, there is a possibilities of being baumgarteni. I can’t see how anyone would sell a true baumgarteni as hamorii. Than again, I’ve seen and heard of lots of idiot sellers do stupid things. Hybrid or boehmei most likely. Photo is not very clear though. Besides at that size of a spider it really would be hard to see what form of a hybrid it will be. Will it look more like boehmei or baumgarteni? Hard to say if it was a hybrid at that size.

Images can be very deceiving at times daytime photos, nighttime, cameras and lighting always plays a part when your taking a photo of them. These pictures are of two different specimens the daylight photos are of a young female and the nighttime photo is of an immature male. Both look the sam in appearance but in the photos they look differently cause of the nittime lighting vs daylight.
