This is getting interesting!
Guess I don't know what I have!
Sounds like we can all agree it's Brachypelma tho
I payed 60$ . The deli cup was labeled B. Smithi. So that's was I thought I was getting. Either way it's a new T and I'm still exited about it!
I guess we will have to wait for a few more molts to see! I will try to take some clear pictures of it tonight. Thanks for everyone that has chimed in on what they think it is. I wasn't trying to hyjack this thread! But am thankful for all the responses, I look forward to posting more pictures for the experts to comment on :anxious:

Geez, the Brachpelma genus is such a mess. You never really know what you are getting with them.

A thousand curses on everyone who knowingly bred hybrids.

This thread has me wondering if my sling I just got, which is labeled b.smithi, is a smithi or hamorri?

View attachment 270627 My B. Smithi sling I just got today!
About 1.5" DLS
I've been wanting one so I pulled the trigger when I saw it!
Hey Skrilla, did you ever get around to taking anymore pics? I will say you are a couple molts away from anyone having a better idea of what you have. But, I think we'd all like to see a few more pictures. Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure it's a B. boehmei, they're pretty cool, mine's kinda skittish but it eats like a beast.

That is a real nice looking boehmei, its going to be as red as red gets one day. I've seen a few boehmei lately that remind me of a time without confusion, perhaps someday I'll own a boehmei like yours that doesn't leave me wondering.

That was not long after it'd moulted, the orange really pops then, I'm waiting for it to moult again at the moment but it just keeps piling the food in and getting fatter, little glutton.

This is what I'm talking about! A true B. boehmei. This is what yours will look like. And it looks like the one I wish I had.

No I have not, we are taking my son tent camping this week for Easter.
I've been very busy.
I will take some shots Sunday night!
