I’ve order a B. hamorii and wanted advice and peoples experience with them. I know they are fairly docile, easy to take care of, and have a strange growth rate. Will you tell me your experience with this species?
Your reply is much help :)

Aside from vagans and albopilosum...they're pretty much standard Brachypelma.

Just know that that 'docile' temperament can change with molts over time, as explained with the Grym's signature B. Hamorii picture.

Skittish as a sling/juvenile, quiets down when growing bigger. Great feeding response. Mine rarely kicks hairs. Personally I don't care too much about 'docility'. I don't plan on handling them anyway and soon enough you will get used to any 'jumpyness' when you open the enclosure. You will not be disappointed with this species.

The B. hamorii is a vicious thing... always throwing threat poses and slapping the substrate, trying to bite the tongs.

@The Grym Reaper has exposed the truth of this evil alien race!

Love my lass. Bought her as a juvenile. She's now a beautiful adult female. Doesn't flick. She'll either stay still or walk over to her hide when I open her enclosure.

I have two juvies who are polar opposites when it comes to personality. My female is calm, docile, and always out in the open. The male is skittish, defensive (hair kicking), and generally hiding somewhere. The female has a great feeding response, and the male takes his good ol' time catching his meal. They are both in premolt now, but I expect personalities to change a bit as they grow. Yes, they can be docile, but I wouldn't count on it.

Mine is the least skittish of any sling I keep. It’s in pre-molt now and still sits out in the open, even if I’m doing enclosure maintenance. Eats the most of all my slings also.

They make a great display spider. My mature female is always out and showing herself. Very calm, usually.
