I dont know anything about this species, but tarantulas should never be handled. They are a new world species.

I only have a juvie female B. hijmenseni so doubt I can be much help besides saying they don't get that big and not to handle them.

I think @Vanessa keeps them though.

New World terrestrial from Mexico. Keep as you would any Mexican Brachypelma - dry substrate with a water dish and hide, overflow the water dish once in a while. Keep spiderlings as you would any other - give them enough damp substrate to burrow in.
Smallish, topping out at 4" for a full grown female. Males mature in about three years. Good appetites and they don't tend to fast. Medium growth rate. Very skittish and fast, but not defensive. I wouldn't handle mine at all.
Absolutely gorgeous species.

Perfect way to kill a T.
Dwarfs, won't get too large, even females

If you just search on AB you'll find all the info you asked.

Good luck!
What about grammastola rosea obviously close to the ground or any other species, my point being is you saying "perfect way to kill a t" is a little insulting considering I know they're not not be handled and I'm experienced enough to know some can be handled with extreme risk and precaution I'm looking for help on a new species with not much info but thanks for the reminder kiddo

Hey Child! everything you mentioned above in the quote about yourself wasn’t mentioned in your post. you think we are mind readers?

Nothing was knowingly insulting because I didn’t know that info. Did you write all that additional info about yourself to help the reader? NO you didn’t. :vomit:

The huge majority of the people who put “handle” in their posts don’t know it isnt safe.:p

And you’re welcome for the advice I gave you that will lead you to links HERE that will answer all your asked questions.;)

When you provide limited info you get a limited response and at times replies that don’t fit you personally. Don’t expect the reader to know you, or take time to ask additional questions.

Good luck Child!
