Haha, very funny.....

I did look in the sprinkler cover boxes and everything last night like you suggested and didn't find any. I don't really have dark/damp places around here that I can think of other than that, and heaven knows there is never any food in this house so they can't possibly come in here looking for a free meal - the ants don't even waste their time anymore. About 2 months ago I was finding tiny little babies under the flower pots by my front door and I am thinking it is probably one of them, just a little bit bigger.

Gee, thanks.
Hey Warren, when do kids in NY go back to school? Some of our schools already started class last week which is insane when it is 114 degrees. My school starts on the 17th which is soon enough. I know when I lived in Michigan it was always after Labor Day.

Send him to school with a scorpion and he will be the coolest kid around! :)

I can't believe you are finding so many inside your house, but not that many outside. It must be the cooler air that brings them in? I would get some in the house, but not as many as you have. And yet you walk barefoot. I would never!

lol, sounds like something one of my cats would do, except they would probably try to eat it... and get it stuck to their head...

Let it go outside near something it can hide in, it will have as good a survival chance as any others. It is at least a hardened 2i which means it can survive on its own. It could have gotten into the house on his own, it's very hard to seal a spot small enough for him to get in, even with professional sealing it really doesn't take much for one of that size to squeeze in.

I would release it around the time of evening / night you usually hunt for them.
It does not take much for even a full grown Scorp to get in really. But yeah, let it go outside.

I think the Kalamazoo Public Schools start Sept 8. I just looked at their website. Its been a few years since I got out. I graduated in 2003.:?

School is for losers.

lol, I like Aztek's one liners. School ...some people make a career out of going to school if they are good at it, but that doesn't really do much. You need a goal out of school. Besides that, you can learn on your own, the sources are out there.

When I spoke with the Dept. of Agriculture about them, they said that the temp I keep my house makes them happy little critters. In the day, 78 downstairs and 79 upstairs, and 77 at night. SO, guess that does bring them in. It's not bad right now, can't find any, though it's generally them that find me!! I still wish I knew what happened to the one that stung me, that sooooo bugs me that I can't find him! I tore the whole house apart and no bug :-(
Well, if you feel that way, let me know where you teach and I'll send any new finds right on over to you!!! THAT will make you the coolest teacher in school!!
Yes, we walk barefoot, no dirty shoes in this house!!!

School starts here August 24th, I'm an LIU van driver for special needs. I can't wait to get back to see the kids I drive, I started it last year halfway through.

A good friend of mine just retired from the post office and started this week as a bus driver for special needs students in the district I work for. He is really excited about it. He just loves children and can't wait to meet them and get to know them. I think that would be such a rewarding job, they must be so excited to see you in the morning, all smiles. :)

Now, now, you know I have to disagree with this.....School is not for everyone, that is true, but to call everyone that goes to school a loser? :embarrassed: I know when I had my eye surgeries this summer I would not have wanted an eye surgeon who learned his skills online and through a textbook! That was kind of a blanket statement! But yes, I have seen people who make college their career, they never graduate! And yes, there are many ways to learn outside of school, but depending on the profession school is a necessity! (I learn a LOT on this site!)

I wonder where Warren's little scorp is right now.....I was thinking that I put him in a little 1" plastic container and didn't poke in an airhole. Oops. But he could always send it to Whitewolf. :)
