I was reading that bark scorpions need vertical facing bark in order to facilitate molting - is this true? should the bark be 90 degrees to the top of the substrate or can it be angled?
most definitely! i was thinking they *had* to be perfectly vertical because gravity was like crucial to their molting process but i think i see now - so basically anything they can latch onto and hang upside down then?
This is definitely the case for Centruroides as well.the species in question: C. sculpturatus
That’s so cool- I didn’t know scorpions could molt upside down like that
me either until i found 1 sentence in a random fact sheet on Arizona bark scorpions and started this thread lolThat’s so cool- I didn’t know scorpions could molt upside down like that
