Anyone Keep A Tarantula At Work?

I have two Psalmopoeus and both of them have filled their enclosures full of web filled dirt. It looks like I have two boxes of dirt until you look closer. I don't mind it at home and I find my Psalmos fascinating, but I don't really want a box of dirt on or near my desk in a professional setting.
I would be worried that some new cleaner might see the dirt and decide to clean out the enclosure.

Its a small firm. The attorneys clean their own offices (or not clean them). If I do get one in there, I will be very stern about people not bring chemicals into my office.

Any worries that clients will come into your office and get really freaked out?

I would want to have a small tarantula on my desk, just a little tiny one so it would be a cute little display. I would also have it be arboreal because their containers would look better. If only there were dwarf arboreals...

I keep my snakes in my office - one wall is mostly taken up by the 2x2m (nearly 7x7 feet) enclosure of my Boas and nobody bats an eyelid. I asked to keep a couple of Ts and my boss said yes - and several (!!) coworkers completely freaked out. I'm not even allowed to put up a picture of a tarantula ... and I work among biologist to boot.
Soooo... have you asked your future coworkers what they think of a tarantula in your office?
So your boss said it was fine but your coworkers didn't agree? How about screw them? If your boss said it was fine then it's fine bruh.

I know that [USER=115254 said:
@spidertherapy78[/USER] keeps Theraphosidae in her office as well. She probably can share her experience :)
@spidertherapy78 I would love to hear about what you do, your setup, and experience when you have a minute? :)

I would actually LOVE to keep a dwarf species or a slow-growing species like Euathlus sp. in one of these cute little things on my desk

Hey look, my B. smithi Kaylee Frye and my A. genic. Bellatrix before I even knew their gender. This reminds me that I haven't uploaded a video to my dang channel in the longest time! Law Skool is eating ALL THE TIME! :vamp:

I keep 8 at my work desk. I work at home though :). 7 gbbs and a versicolor.

You are definitely on the right track with something simple that looks good. I say b hamorii or something similar.

If your clients question you on why you have a t in your office, you can use it as a metaphor for your tactics as a lawyer. Docile, mellow, laying in wait until it is time to pounce on your opponent. Throw in something about the fangs too.

Congrats on the graduation and the new job!
