Aggressive grammostola rosea

Hi everyone,
Totally new to this forum so please be gentle x
I have taken in a Chilean Rose.
First time I had it I was handling it. But over time it has become quite aggressive towards me!
I have had it for about 2 months now and it has eaten 3 large crickets. When I open it's Viv it will quickly come towards me and try to strike. I have tried letting it climb out of the Viv in its own time and put my hand near for it to walk on but it rears to strike still.
Anyone know why this is and If there is anything I can do to reverse this?

No. There is nothing you can do. It's behaviour means it does not want to be disturbed, and you must respect this.

The most recommended thing to do is to simply not handle, although there are ways to make handling as "safely" as possible Ts are still highly unpredictable and instinctual creatures and with this one, it sounds like shes probably better off left alone

Such a shame as I love to handle. My B Smithi is a gem so will stick with her. Had her since a spidling and now as big as my hand.

Tarantulas do not have the capability to enjoy being handled, and the feeling of walking on skin makes them uncomfortable. Rosehairs can be fairly unpredictable in their temperaments especially. You cannot train a tarantula to handle well. If you insist on handling, please do so responsibly.

According to Tamerlan Thorell and Eric de Fáfnir Von Scholtenheim (see addendum, notably the errata corrige of page 4 of their Theraphosidae book-compendium) the best time for handle a G.rosea is always after a good meal, two adult Blaptica dubia 0.1, better.

Pretty debatable, but I tend to stick with Thorell. Good luck, anyway

My B Smithi is a gem so will stick with her.

Yeah, I used to think that about mine too, she greets me like this now.

My B. hamorii is still defective.

When I got into Ts I thought it was basically a requirement to handle because if you had a tarantula you should be tough enough to hold it
