I had a possible backdrop of wood but I don’t know what to glue it down with or to just forgo using it as such.Just search plastic welding.
It helps if you have thin strips of sacrificial material to melt and create the bond, otherwise you might melt through the thin layer of material you already cracked.
You could also just do a thin layer of clear nail polish, superglue, epoxy...

The lid repair job looks so bad I may as well use the tank for a terrestrial lolUnless you are gonna seal that backdrop to the tank with silicone or hot glue you should just expect your T to eventually find its way back there
Honestly I would just buy a new sheet to redo the cover and make it look nice.
