“Land crabs”

Just wondering who’s keeping any land crabs out there excluding vampires/hermits(no hate, love them both and plan to keep some, but they’re more commonly seen these days).

Or any aquatic(salt or freshwater) that occasionally come out of the water?

Personally, I’ve been wanting to find cardisoma guanhami, but they seem to only be available certain times of the year.

that’s amazing! I’ve seen them being sold here, but thought they were illegal in the US?

I definitely have been slowly planning out a few builds for some larger species of landcrabs, I almost picked up multiple different species last year, but havent jumped in fully yet to the building part on anything yet. I also may also want use these few othe large tanks for even more species of Geosesarma hah.

I gotta get some geosesarma at some point! Curious, what species other than geosesarma were you thinking of getting?

I have a tank that’s been set up for Gecarcinus for a bit, but I am thinking of potentially building a set up for some Metasesarma. I also have a group of Lepidothelphusa that are proving very difficult to breed and seem to have higher fatality rates than WC Geosesarma.

I have a tank that’s been set up for Gecarcinus for a bit, but I am thinking of potentially building a set up for some Metasesarma. I also have a group of Lepidothelphusa that are proving very difficult to breed and seem to have higher fatality rates than WC Geosesarma.

I’m currently setting up a chameleon enclosure and a new tank for my cardisoma, but when they’re done I’ll be looking at some new projects.

Bought a rainbow crab two month ago. Barely even see him. He just hides in his hides or substrate, and whenever you try to get him out he just pinches you He's curious, though. Noticed how he would stare at me when I'm doing things on other side of the room.

Also this little bastard threw his food in his pool when I was at work, the smell was horrible

Hahaha, my C guanhumi loves tossing stuff all over the place and especially in the water. He will pull the live rock out of the SW and put it in the freshwater .
