Mobburrow met me at an expo as I was packing up for the day and followed me back to the spider room where we worked out a trade for some hapalopus sp . He didn't want much for the slings he brought me. Always nice to have someone one out to the spider room to bullshit about spiders.

Scott gave me a great deal on a versicolor juvi and shipped him out as quick as possible. He even threw in a couple free pumpkin patches. Great communication, great dealer.

Sooo, none of the above criteria really apply to our transaction, but here's what went down.

He needed a MM that I have, and he lives locally. I wanted my male back, so I didn't want to sell him, and Scott is a breeder so I didn't want to ask for a 50/50 and cut in to his stock. I let him borrow my male in exchange for 2 slings of a different species as a sort of stud fee.

We met up and I gave him my boy, then 2 months later when I asked for him back, he gave him back. He kept my male alive and returned him. That's integrity!

Scott was great to work with, answered tons of questions that I had and was very friendly while doing so. Trade went perfect and my guy arrived in great condition. I definitely won't hesitate to do business with him again

Ok, first the mundane praise: Scott has an impressive assortment of genera and species on hand, both old world and new; the descriptions are absolutely accurate - no surprisingly tiny or massive specimens that you aren't prepared to house properly; his communication is superlative; and the boxes are carefully and properly packed to protect your creatures from the elements, shipping mishaps, etc. He runs a highly professional organization.

Now for the seriously awesome aspects: this man will get 'er done in every sense. I was a nervous buyer, purchasing spiders on line for the first time, branching for the first time into arboreals, and shipping at a FAR from ideal time of year for Arizona, July! Scott talked me through my species selection, watched the weather forecasts with me, and made two separate trips to shipping offices rather than stick me with an unexpectedly high shipping bill because of my rural address. He also helped me with my species selection and made me feel confident in tackling the Psalmopoeus genus with my first irminia and cambridgei.

And who else offers an excellent choice of freebies with a $25 purchase? What a deal!

Poor Scott. I wouldn't wish me as a customer to my worst enemy. In all, there were 48 exchanges in our conversation before my purchase was complete (obviously half of which were his) to make absolutely sure that my order was wise, timely, safe, and RIGHT for me, personally. I only wish I had the extra budget to afford that Thrixopelma ockerti female... perhaps in the fall, when it cools down and shipping will be a bit less arduous.

Scott has earned my respect, and I'm pretty hardcore picky about customer service. I will definitely begin all future searches for new Tarantulas with The Hairy Mob District.
