@cold blood I thought that they were the same. I read that the b. smithi was incorrectly identified as a different species than b. hamorii, and they are really one and the same ("b. smithi" as a classification being eliminated). Is this true?
@ScaryGhosts What was thought to be B. smithi, turned out (after a revision of taxonomy) to actually be hamorii....what was believe to be annitha turned out to be the real smithi....or more accurately, a junior synonym of smithi
So changes were made to correct long standing mistakes.
