Defensive not aggressive, it's us that upsets them, so defensive not aggressive, but no psalmopoeus are only defensive if you mess with them , eg poking with a stick they will not appreciate, or doing stuff in their viv ie clean up because they like to poop on glass. I usually get around this by feeding first, my girls will then retreat to their retreat with their food and I am left to clean the poop in peace I currently keep 6 psalmo ranging from 2 inches to adult and non of them are particularly defensive just shy .

As @Charliemum said, it's all about defense -- which also means they'll display this kind of behavior much less if they have appropriate places to hide and feel safe.
