Aphonopelma chalcodes Gender suggestions? Sorry I don’t have measurements, it’s still young. Molted twice since I purchased (was about 2 inches) but it’s been over 7 months since the last molt….. they sure take their time.

Female (no notch, no dark/dense patch of setae, lip is wide and gently curved):
4.5" DLS Suspect female but wanted to confirm. Was surrendered when owner died, so I have no background on it

Of course, the only way to know for certain is to examine the next molt to see if there are any spermathecae (female parts). The good news is that with this species the males can often live 8-10 years, so he'll be around for a while yet!
