No sex data available, no history, no contact with breeder, and s/he wasn't giving us any ventral view, so can't even look for dot... Would be a total gamble, but I'm thinking given the shop owner's commentary and reaction to us even asking about it "why would anyone want something like this in their house?" ... "I just want it sold" I think he'd take 75-80$ for it...
I’m sure you could if he clearly doesn’t want it and is probably scared of it. Might be more worth the gamble at that price range with no ventral view.
Let’s us know what goes down....it’s so dark, and the abdomen looks so small.even for a pokie
The abdomen pattering looks like a subfusca,as in a abbreviated pattern not extending to the spinners.

Oh absolutely. If we pick it up we'll be looking for id and will post ventral shots for sure. I would have tried to coax it onto the glass in the store if I wasn't 100% sure the shop owner would have had a heart attack the second I popped the lid off. Lol
(Also the abdomen is very small as its very recently molted - spider has been in the shop less than a week and you can see the fresh exuvia in the bottom of the picture)
Update: went back, pulled the exuvia, soaked it for an hour to be able to flatten it, and I'm 90% or more certain it's a male. Don't think we're taking this one in.
Understood.Hopefully someone takes it in.
Now,I don’t know this lps or owner obviously,
But when someone feels that way, being terrified of an animal, sometimes their care can suffer.
Hopefully not the case here.
