Aphonopelma sp. (mareki?)

My friend found this 2” tarantula yesterday on South Mountain in AZ. May be lighting but it doesn’t look like chalcodes to me. A bit late in the season for those, anyways, right? The palps do look a little bulbous, but I don’t have a different angle pic. Could this be mareki?
@MrGhostMantis really? I could be wrong but it looks tiny in this photo


Unsure of species, but such a clear photo is bound to reap an identification from a more experienced member soon
 
@AphonopelmaTX Any thoughts?

He looks mature to me, but the angles aren't super helpful as noted. A. mareki looks like a reasonable guess, or at least something related from the "Paloma" species group within the genus.
