Possibly A. hentzi? I don't know where the tarantula was found and it could well be the lighting, but they look darker to me -- more like my A. hentzi than my A. chalcodes and there are other Aphonopelma that could have similar coloration but with more limited ranges. All wonderful tarantulas!
I dug her up in the Tucson area. She looks just like all the other tarantulas I found in the Tucson area. I believe the question is really what subspecies of A. chalcodes she is?
