All of mine will eventually have names. I almost always wait to know the gender first, so I'm not naming a male "Aphrodite" or a female "Big Bubba."
I have a male Muffet and a male Wallflower (he's a little dandy).

Years Of Experience: Coming up on 1 year in August.

Ts In Collection (ordered by purchase date):
  • Adult female Grammostola poteri named Winter
  • Juvenile Grammostola pulchripes (suspect male) called Nine
  • Unsexed sling Grammostola pulchra named Shadow
  • Adult female Euthalus sp. red/yellow named Spark
Escapes: None yet.
Times Bitten: None yet.
% Of OWs Vs. NW Ts: All NW

Extra Info:
I'm not brave enough to take on any OW Ts yet. The next two on my want list are A. geniculata and C. versicolor. I prefer not to handle my Ts, but have handled my rosie a few times. My Euthalus is still in recovery mode from a stressful previous home where she wasn't well cared for, but hopefully she'll come around when she feels better. Also, out of curiosity, does anyone else name their Ts?
Everything should have a name :) My three are Giles, Wednesday, and Sebastian.

Bites:0
75% OW, 25% NW
Extra info: Despite my immense love of tarantulas, true spiders, and solpugids, I am pathologically terrified of being near scorpions
Me too with the scorpions! They just scare me to death.

I am naming all my Ts after Adventure Zone characters. So far I have:
Hecuba - Aphonopelma seemanni
Killian and Carey - Caribena versicolor
Jenkins - GBB
Klarg - Cyriocosmus elegans
Magic Brian - Pumpkin Patch

And if the sexes of the spiders aren't what matches the name, I'll just rename them after another character.

Experience: 7-8 years.
100+ Ts in the collection, I haven't bothered counting in a while.

Escapes: Happened once a few years back, was an A.avicularia. I foolishly left the lid open over night and was greeted with an avic on the wall in the morning.

OW to NW ratio is probably about 60%-40%.

Never been bit.

Extra: I also keep several species of scorpions and centipedes.

I started with about 30 different species Ow and Nw
150 adults and juvies 50 slings that I consider mine. Slings from sacs mother of god so many.
0 bites, 2 grazes P.ruffilata and L.violaceopes.
85% Ow 15% NW
Escapes 8 all found and caught within 1/2 hour to 3 hours. None have ever left my T room it's sealed up so nothing leaves.
Named Ts only a few. Best named Ts AF X.intermedia God, her male Constantine. Af P.regalis Queen Rasha. Male P.met Raziel from and old video game Soul Reaver.
Really enjoy late night red light touring of my T room. Get to see most everything moving about by then.
My M.balfouri colony's are a super favorite.
I too like pie and ice cream :smug:

Just curious, I wanna do a survey of us hobbyists...

Let's make it like this...

Years Of Experience:
Ts In Collection:
Escapes:
Times Bitten:
% Of OWs Vs. NW Ts:
Extra Info:

Add whatever you like under extra info, for instance if you're a breeder or if your collection fluctuates a lot, ect. Also, this is just for curiosity and fun and conversation so don't feel ashamed if it's your OBTs third escape today, oh and to verify, when i say escape I mean actually got out of your field and vision and you had to go searching for the T, not bolted out of the enclosure and stopped on the wall.
Need a calculator
Varies, at one time 30-35 specimens, but have certainly owned more than 40 unique species/localities
ZERO
ZERO
Not sure, probably 70-80% NW, balance OW. I find NWs to be more colorful, than OWs generally.

Way too many slings to count with the recent eggs that hatched, about 10 adults
No escapes (yet)
was bitten by my first T
100% Old worlds (there's only old worlds here, my first T was an OW which explains why I got bitten early on)

Extra info: I always forget what I'm supposed to be doing
