    Breeding Metriopelma sp.s

I am curious as to who has bred Metriopelma, particularly zebratum. My male just had his ultimate moult and I have not been able to find any information on breeding them. All I have heard is, that they are pretty agressive breeders. I would like to hear from anyone who has experience. Thanks...

    M. zebratum question

Beautiful! :) I REALLY hope mine turns out to be a male, the US needs more of this species! I really like the way she set up her web btw. My zebratum's is much more sloppy. I should try to give mine a really deep substrate like yours.

Hypoaspis miles - how to maintain colony?

Yes they would take care of them. What you have sounds more like mites than springtails.

    "Strange spiders" thread

Sweet pics guys! I've been trying to find some Micrathena forever. :( They would make cool captives. Eric, you are so lucky to have seen those spiders in person. Sicarius would be incredible to find. Dysdera are very cool too. I found my first one (dead) last year. I found a huge one in my...

    Plant question.

I can't think of any carnivores that would be good in a pede tank besides possibly some terrestrial utricularia species. If the pedes don't kill the plants, the high nutrient levels of the substrate (from decaying food and waste) woulld. You could possibly mount a Pinguicula on a wall of the tank.

    Ignorance question?

Usually Ts wont eat Darkling beetles. They produce an odor that predators don't like. I've never gotten any invert to eat a darkling beetle.
