What do you think about maturing Zophobas morio larvae (superworms) to adults and feeding them to Ts? Anyone know the nutritional value? Any pros/cons?

I don't mind, I've got an enclosure for them.
Why would you feed them to T's when you can use them to get free superworms?:coffee:

I did it once. Most of my T's loved the beetles, and I enjoyed the satisfying crunch;)

In a nut shell, I dont think I have ever seen the nutritional info on a beetle, so I wouldnt be able to compare it to the likes of a cricket. That being said, nobody has ever seen the nutritional requirements for a Tarantula. NOBODY. So knowing the nutritional info of a beetle is rather pointless.

Pro: Increases how varied the diet is.

Con: Time and effort to raise beetles as opposed to simply using the larvae as feeders.

After your done using the beetles for sex, you can give them to your T's as play things:D

My A. avic cohabits with a beetle for quite a while now. She doesn't eat it however, she just slaps the crap out of the thing when it gets to close to her. It's rather funny, as sometimes she "kicks" that thing away by that. I've tried fishing the beetle out of the enclosure hence, but so far no luck. It's hiding most of the time and when it's not, it's hard to grab. Pretty sure at some point she's just gonna kill it, or I'll get lucky getting it eventually. My A. geniculata enjoys a nice hunt and doesn't turn down beetles.

None of mine will eat those beetles. They just slap it away.
