Has anyone used a zilla arboreal enclosure for a tarantula? I’m getting a juvenile pinktoe soon and I have several large zilla enclosures. If I drill more ventilation holes in it will it work? This is the one I currently have.

I've used the smaller ones without any issue and without needing to drill more holes - they're not exactly air-tight. I think the stories about slings escaping are when people try to put slings in them that should still be in dram vials, because if appropriately sized they can't get out. That shouldn't be an issue with the larger ones, though.

If you have a tarantula the right size it’ll be fine. I have found a small window of size thats big enough to not get through the vents but small enough to stay in one of these past a molt or two

They’re perfect for the right size slings. Smaller ones will escape through the holes but if a sling can get through there then the enclosure is too big for it.
