Anyone have a specific brand of shelves that they use for their Ts? I'm looking to get three heavy duty shelves but I am seeing so many mixed reviews on most. Some people say a unit is flimsy and the next says its durable.

What do you all use and recommend? This does not include homemade, only in store or online purchases. Thanks

Any brand of wire shelving. Very sturdy and customizable. Had I known you could get them in black instead of chrome, I’d have gotten black. AND cats will not walk on steel wire shelving. *At least mine won’t.

I use Hyper Tough black wire shelving as my Ts currently are all in lightweight enclosures and they have been holding up well. I don't think I'd trust heavy glass enclosures on them though just because of the way they are designed. I'm getting ready to move my P. cambridgei into a 12x12x18 exo terra and that will be placed on a table rather than the shelves because of the weight.

I was using a metal wire shelf but the hapa in the wire didn't allow deli cups to sit well. I have a lot of fossorial Ts and I like to use 10 gallons. So I need something that can both support the weight of many 10 gallon tanks loaded with substrate and be able to house my slings as well

As a cat owner, that is great to know. I want to get the T’s off of my closet shelves soon.

I read that cats also will not walk on wire mesh. I love Cats. I would love to live with a Pride. Simple rules. Support and do not cheat.

I use three "campaign" shelves from world market. They're very functional. Have a raised lip and protected sides to keep the cats out. Adjustable shelves. They perfectly fit exo terra nano shorts and talls. I'm running out of room on them .... and world market has discontinued them! :dead:

I went with muscle racks. Allegedly they can hold up to 4,000 pounds. I will post my thoughts when they come.

I'm lucky enough to have a T room that I dont allow the cats in. I have to keep my tortoises in the T room too because my youngest cat likes to get in their enclosure and sleep with them
