Well, I ran into a problem with Kitty. Two days ago she started urinating blood, so I ran her into the vet immediatly. After a day of observations and testing, she came back with " severe crystals " and a bladder infection. She is on a special diet for three months, and two weeks of anti-biotics. The vet (and my research on the internet) agreed with your recommendations, so I'll be switching to Nutro after the three months is up. =)

Cute? How about a big hairy guy with a tiny fluffy kitten? Her name is "Pedals" cause like a bike pedal she is always under foot.

Follow up on previous cuteness...just spent some time extricating the fuzzy thing from our furnace duct-work. The cute factor has gone down slightly.

Aww x 1000! I've always loved St. Bernards, they're so big and floppy looking. The tub pic is by far my favorite.

I hope she gets better soon. Is the condition caused from not enough fluids being drank? It sounds similar to what our cat had when she was sick. She got dehydrated and had crystals in her urine which caused kidney problems. After some IV fluids she rebounded.

And I'll umpteenth the Nutro food recommendation. I guess my vet is the oddball, he recommends it more than Science Diet. We've had our dog on it since the day we adopted her 5 years ago and she's done great on it. Never overweight, nice healthy coat and skin, clean teeth and energetic.

Science Diet and most other foods are just fillers, mainly corn meal. The more fillers you have, the more nasty poops you get. Nutro's first ingredient is meat and its naturally preserved with Vitamin E, not a bunch of preservatives.

Once I got my parents dog off of Beneful and onto Nutro's Large Breed formula, she dropped 15 lbs and looks a ton better and can actually run again. Beneful was only good for tooth decay, it was sugary, soft and chewy and would stick to the teeth. Paige had to have 4 teeth pulled for decay.
