Would this be alright as a substrate?

Alright, gonna ask something here because I don't want to create another thread. This isn't The related but could I use still moist dirt for my Vinegaroon (M. giganteus)? I've been drying it but if I can just stick it straight in, that'd be great. Though idk how I'm going to maintain one damp side and one dry side. Any advice appreciated, pm me if you must
