The water and/or cricket/roach soup would be dripped on the labium. The lungs are in its abdomen. Spiders don’t eat and breathe from the same place. :)
There’s a nice diagram here:

I rescued a Wolf Spider yesterday from a black wasp. It is beautiful, large, and paralyzed. Read here about giving it water in mouth area. Is their mouth located like ours is? I am afraid of drowning it. Also, is it cruel to drag out paralysis and starvation if it won't make it? How would I humanely end it's suffering? Am clueless how to feed it, or help it survive. Any experienced folks nearby? I am in Upstate NY.

Completely clueless about spiders, but respect them, and have a Daddy Long Legs in my home that I love, and comes to greet me, and let me pet it??
Spiders do not breathe from there mouth parts , go ahead and water it your fine .😁 get some pictures of it! Or her
I would make your own thread… although this is a blast from the past!2011 forever ago.:artist::cigar:
