Hi all,

One of my enclosures is next to my modem/router unit. Has anyone ever heard of problems being caused for Ts from the Wifi signals/waves?

I don't think it would be a problem, just as long as your router isn't making any noises or vibrating. There are wifi signals beaming through our heads right now from all over the place, and last time I checked I'm not having a problem with it.

Sounds good thanks!

No vibrations. If it was vibrating I would say it's time for a new router lol.

Be careful... I'm pretty sure this is how Godzilla was created.

That is the most ignorant thing I have ever read. Wifi waves making Godzilla.

It was *Kumonga*. Kumonga was the giant spider created by WiFi waves.

Godzilla. Pffft.

Only discomfort I could think of the WiFi router may cause is maybe heat, but as far as I know my router doesn't seem to put off much.

WIFI doesn't affect humans, it won't affect spiders. Perfectly safe! (unless you have Comcast and have to reset your ethernet every night because they suck and end up throwing your table and router out the window in frustration).

Only if your spider suddenly vibrates and makes the wechat whistle...

I don't see it as being a problem, (although never tested for such things), my T's are all fine, guess only time will tell.

From your last link, the only one of those that doesn't seem to have an overt agenda:
"The UK's Health Protection Agency has been closely monitoring the safety of wi-fi.

It says people using wi-fi, or those in the proximity of wi-fi equipment, are exposed to the radio signals it emits - and some of the transmitted energy in the signals is absorbed in their bodies.

However, the signals are very low power.

The HPA says there is no consistent evidence to date that exposure to radio signals from wi-fi adversely affects the health of the general population."

Your tarantula might start generating its own wifi network, in which case call a specialist.

Laughs out, I don't see it being an issue like others said heat and vibration, maybe the flickering LED lights could cause some confusion and discomfort.

Any WiFi radiation will be unnoticeable after the nukes go off. When they do we will all be dead and your T and your dubia/lateralis colony will live happily ever after in the post human world.

Assuming radiation causes mutations that give them opposable thumbs or other advantages to get *out* of the enclosures.

You posted a question, when asking how to post a question.

The heat from the nuke will melt the enclosure.

Which would of course incinerate the inhabitants of said enclosures. The end; what a short sci-fi film that would be. *credits start rolling, cue soundtrack*

Lol... come on man... where is your spirit of optimism in regards to a species that seems to be able to persist all environmental challenges?
