One of my Poecilotheria sp. 'Lowland' slings has recently molted, as I've just found the molt in the water dish! I'll see if I can sex it tomorrow. The other sling has webbed itself up in its cork tube, so hopefully that will molt soon too.
As anticipated, my other Lowland has molted! I checked this morning before going to work, and there was a larger-than-expected set of legs poking out from the cork tube, plus a molt in the water dish. Looks a bit more chewed than the other one, but I'll have a go at sexing it.

Mary my Thrixopelma pruriens moulted last night and decided to frighten the 'insert word here' out of me by keeping the top of her abdomen and carapace on like a cape. Luckily it came off as soon as she ran round when I picked up her viv but she scared me there 😆 but after pulling the moult could see everything was there that should be and everything is fine.(telling myself more then anything else 🤣) She had a full inch on the moult and now is a confirmed female 😁 20230606_053337.jpg
How i found her this morning not the best pic but can see the carapace sticking up from the abdomen.

Just after she knocked her cape off. 20230606_054021.jpg

My Thrixopelma pruriens has also moulted overnight! It's still a tiny sling, but has put on a bit of size.

It won't take long to get bigger I got mine 4/5 months ago the first moult was 4mm big but this one was a full inch, you'll know what gender you have before you know it 😊 congratulations btw 🙂

Consistently fast growth rates with my small group. This female is FRESH, the exivium is still wet.

Late, but the largest of my P. ornata slings molted yesterday, as did my other Thrixopelma sp. "Sullana" slings and one of my Harpactira namaquensis slings.

0.0.1 Cyriocosmus venezuelenesis (Venny) is molting right now:

0.0.1 Cyriopagopus sp. Sumatran molted earlier in the week. Great size gain going from 1" to almost 1.75" DLS. Looks like a male from what I can see (or more accurately, what I can't see).

1.0 Nhandu chromatus molted late last night. The pics are grainy because apparently the top of his enclosure is dirtier than I thought...

My Citharacanthus cyaneus male made a mat and flipped just before I went to bed last night and today I woke up fully expecting him to have matured. Went down to the tarantula room to have a peek and--

Nope! He went from 2.75" to 3.5" but still not mature. What the heck. I have to quadruple check that moult.

Another of my 0.0.3 O. schioedtei slings, one of my 3 Hati Hati slings, My Tapiauchenius rasti sling (yes, again), and the last of my Thrixopelma sp. "Sullana" trio have molted. And most shockingly, apparently one of my two P. muticus slings molted sometime in the past month without me noticing?! The size gain was so tiny, and the molt blended in with the substrate so well, that I never knew it had happened.

I suspect that my juvenile O. violaceopes is in premolt again seeing as it has webbed heavily and completely vanished....
