How does getting it at 8 weeks old mean you won't have any problems??

So what if the dogs are being EXPOSED to other animals and kids up until 8 weeks of age? That isn't going to impact the dogs for the rest of their lives.

Hey, if some moron wants to shell out $1000 for the smallest dog they can find - which are bred down from runts and usually have medical issues... have AT IT. But if it were ME, I would research a reputable breeder who health tests (which is NOT just takin the dog to the vet for a check up) and titles their dogs.

OMG you like to argue. 1.getting a young dog means its not already hating cats,ect. think about it!
2. if a dog is exposed to many things when young it is less likely to be a problem dog. and i wont have to bother to get it used to things.cats farrets ect.
and they are coming from a reputable dealer who does semiannual dna testing with AKC. like i said topof the line show dogs, its not like im asking you to buy one. and hay if some moron wants to wine about people buying 1000 dogs have at it.

BTW. $500 is a good deal for a good quality yorkie, they regularly go for $1000 or more.

Cute dogs! When I got my Quinnie (we think she is a rat terrier) I really wanted a silky terrier, or a yorkie, but couldn't find any that needed rescuin' around here. My girlie is around 12lbs, but isn't allowed to do any of those typical small dog things, haha.
I prefer big dogs, when I have a house, I'm getting a great dane

I argue when I know what I am talkin about and I know dogs. I've shown AKC all breeds for almost 10 years, not to mention all the individual breeders I've worked with.

Yes, LESS likely to be a problem dog. No guarantees. But just because a dog is raised with cats, doesn't mean their genetic instinct to kill cats won't override your "training and socialization"

"semi annual DNA testing" JUST means they are ensuring that the dogs they register are actually the result of breeding two dogs together, and that they aren't hanging papers. It does NOT mean the dogs being bred are healthy!

I'm not whining... though I don't know why I still get surprised at the stupid things people do!

Maybe it's just me and my knowledge of dogs... but a PRICE TAG does not always equal a quality dog.
