I have pinned and picked up a couple of T. blondis to sex, and I have been around a couple of adult T. apophysis. Both made me itch a little bit with minor hoves in sensitive places like my neck and wrists. The worst reaction that I ever had, however, was from a sub-adult male B. smithi. WOW. That was utter torture.

i don't think my T. blondi ever kicked at me. at the very least, it never affected me like my P. antinous does.

Hairs

T's are worst for most. Its all about exposure, though. My freind has 3 Mexicans, (Redrump, Redknee and Beauty are the common names). When I first took care of them, they kicked a lot, but I didn't react. Now when they kick through the lid, I get an itch on my face. At first, its not much, but over time reactions get worse.

Most irritating hair?..... Gotta be Donald Trump's! lol. When it comes to Ts, it's Brachys for me aswell. I was fine with this genus till just over a year ago, now it turns into an itchfest whenever I open a Brachy enclosure...and it's getting worse as time goes on. Looks like I'm gonna have to resort to gloves soon.

T. blondi is the only T that gives me any kind of reactions at all. And they can be pretty bad. I've been itching 4 days now. And I only removed the shed from the enclosure. With foreceps of course.

females don't really bother me

males make me itch... Brachypelma males are very annoying... i don't keep them anymore

from doing shows and handling Aphonopelma all day, i am slightly sensitized to them

when i first started the hobby nothing bothered me :)

T. blondi don't really bother me... but i would be a bit leary of playing with a male

and i have to say, it is very handy to tell ppl the itching feels like fiber glass insulation in my skin... a lot more ppl have felt that then most other itchy things that ihave tried comparing to

I have allergies worse than most people and the few times that my Genic has kicked hairs has had no effect on me.

Ive had most of the above mentioned Ts but the only one I ever had a reaction to was G. pulchripes. I was haired by all the other ones including T. blondi but never really itched tell I had my G. pulchripes and then it was unbearable.

1/2" C fasciatum

My male B smithi was the only one I had a problem with until I got my C fasciatum. I laughed the first time they kicked hairs because they were only about 1/2". I only laughed once..lol Those little buggers u hairs drive my hands nuts. I get these little blister like things between my fingers. Oh and my GBB sometimes gets to me as well. He did today as a matter of fact.
