There is this white coating on the coco fiber in my container. It looks like white hair... Is it mold? and how do i prevent it? The container has air holes, but maybe the ventilation isn't good enough?

Yup that sounds like mold, prolly from left over cricket pieces, no matter how much ventilation i have i always seem to get traces of mold here and there, i have heard people using 1 part bleach 9 part water solution to lightly mist the cage with once a week, they say it does not bother the scorps...i do not know i have never tried it...i just spot clean it as needed and if its bad enough clean the whole cage.

you COULD try more holes near ground level of the cages.. :) :?

Thanks tabor. I guess i will just remove the stuff from the top and move the dirt around so its a bit ventilated. I may try that bleach thing, but it sounds like it could be harmful...
