Emperor scorpion (Pandinus imperator) is more docile and grows bigger. Malaysion forest scorpion (Heterometrus spinifer) will be seem more often outside the burrow, as well as Asian Forest scorpion (Heterometrus longimanus). Heterometrus longimanus are not as common in the pet trade and many H. spinifer are misidentified as H. longimanus. Yes, blackilghts cause a fluorescue in all true scorpions that are commonly kept in the pet trade. Blacklights are not recommended to be in used, except for short periods of time, which is okay, but not healthy for them.
