Which months of the year do your scorpions have their brood???

From my experience with the H.Spinifer, she had her brood in April.
While on the other hand my B.Jacksoni have theirs almost throughout the year.
Both of these species are jungle or tropical species of scorpion, I'm not familiar with the arid desert species.

Does the desert scorpion such as Androctonus sp. or Hadrurus sp. wait for the optimum time in the year to mate and give birth, or this doesn't come into play for them??? Please share some of your stories and advice in regards to breeding scorpion.

Breeding season for the c. sculpts here in phoenix is not until around august from what i have seen. i just caught a gravid female a couple nights ago.

It will depend on temperature, amount of food and species. I have some species that give birth every three to four months, others are closer to a year.

i think he means if theres a common time of year besides due to nature. like how all T's molt around the same time on occasion.

I understood. There isn't a common time. Scorpions species are to diverse. Some species require many months while others just a few. I nearly always have babies of at least one species.

Now you might be able to genaralize a few things, Scorpions that live near the equator and have less seasonal variation might have more variation in birthing times. Species farther away will usually give birth during the warmer months. Also larger species tend to take longer to develop and will take longer between broods. All this is a very weak generalization with many exceptions, especially once the scorpions have been in captivity for a while.
