H. spinifer is the largest out of those. It can reach 6-7" in length with the metasoma outstretched.

I would say that is slightly larger than normal, although six inches is a good size. Chris (Quixtar) is right, H. spinifer is the largest of those. If you are thinking about getting one, I would go with the H. cyaneus or H. laoticus. You should try to breed them, I haven't seem them that much in the U.S. hobby. Those scorpions are pretty too, at least in my opinion.

I was orignaly hoping to get h.longimanus for breeding but i can't find any for sale. Does h. longimanus climb as musch as H.cyaneus? I i had a H. cyaneus before and it whould often climb everything in the tank, I would often find it upside down crawling on the inside of it's lid i wish I took a pic of it.

It kind of sounds like people are measuring from the wrong body parts, not sure, but just in case, the standard way to measure is from the mouth parts to the end of what a lot of people here call the tail, does not include chela. I think a pic of a 7 inch H. cyaneus would be very hard to find.

I have a H Laoticus (at least I think it is), and it used to climb upside down on the lid, now it jsut explores the enclosure time to time trying to climb the wall, my red claw did the exact same thing and now all it does is hide in his tunnel, coming out only to poo, eat (unless the cricket goes to it), and water.

H spin, is the largest though, the H long. has some nice claw length though :p

H Spinifer is biggest as I understand but If I had a choice and I could own one legally here I would go the H Swammerdami. From"what I hear" thou is the Spinifer would be a bit cheaper.

H. spinifer is the biggest of the three species that you told.
I have all of 3 and I have also H. swammerdami.

These is the max. lengths for each species:

H. spinifer 135 mm

H. laoticus 125 mm

H. cyaneus 120 mm

H, swammerdami 180 mm

In my observations, H. cyaneus often is smaller, usally 90-110 mm. But a lot of H. laoticus (and H. petersii, very similar species) are usually 120-125 mm.
