Avicularia variegata - Basically what would happen if you custom built an Avic out of all the best features of the rest of the genus.
Exactly why they are one of my favorite Avics. Too bad the males don't stay as pretty as the females.

I love my Poecilotheria rufilata. Just wish he would leave his cork bark hide more often for pictures.

He has very good camo though. Sometime I look right at him and do not see him right away. Blends in very well with the bark background.

I just love their color palette, very cool looking Ts when mature.

I'd be hard-pressed to choose a favorite, but of the ones I am keeping right now, it's a toss-up between Psalmopoeus cambridgei and Avicularia avicularia.

The cam is a big, goofy spider that eats well.

The Avics are just cute and stubborn.

I also have a juvenile Psalmopoeus irminia, a Caribena versicolor sling, and a Poecilotheria regalis sling. We'll see if one of those takes the top spot as it grows. (The irminia and the regalis both have an over-the-top feeding response that is almost comical.)
I absolutely love that shot of your P. cam. It looks like it has a hangover.

I dunno? Psalmopoeus, Tapinauchenius or Poecilotheria maybe?

I cant choose I love so many arboreals and all for different reasons. I love Psalmopoeus genus for their beauty and attitude. I love my Poecilotheria for their colors. You can't deny the beauty and variety of the Avic's they are amazing as display T's.
If I had to pick I will go with Avic's.

Yeah, tell me about it, was gutted when mine hooked out, luckily I managed to find him a date and some slings popped up for sale at the same time so I sold him and put the money towards 3 slings, out of the surviving two I've now got one confirmed female.

Yeah, my last one molted out male, I was surprised to see the red disappear NOT COOL. I have another one now, not sure of gender yet. If it's female, GREAT, if male, I have someone with a gorgeous female..we will see.
