I've noticed that people are selling these plastic cube enclosures (terrestrial and arboreal) in the "For Sales/Trades" section of Arachnoboards. Does anyone know where to get these? I would like to purchase a lot (about 30 cubes) and I feel a bit ripped off when purchasing in bulk from the classifieds. (This would add up to a little over $100.) Thanks.

I use beanie baby holders, but, they are getting more difficult to find since beanie babies arent all the rage. If you have any A.C Moore stores near you check them out- if there are any left they will be discounted since they are discontinued.

AMAC display Cubes

All the ones I use for every T I have right now are from the container store. They are better since the lids are usually more snug. Also, alot less of a chance of them having cracks in them IMO.

I use M series for burrowers and arboreal. For terrestrials I use the regular with the thin tops. You can see all of them in the link in my sig. Click it and scroll to the bottom of the home page.

i also prefer the Amac brand cubes available from The Container Store compared to the cubes offered at Michaels. The Amac cubes are better quality and have a tighter fitting lid. They also cost less than the Michael's cubes! i use the M series and Flat Top Series:

i have seen some other cubes in the AB classifieds that are horizontal and rectangular for terrestrials. Not sure where people buys those or how snug the lids fit. Would be curious to find out more info on those myself. Anyone know about these?

I have never used them but I do not see why you should not just go to the source save yourself some cash. If you need that many.

But I would not waste the money on this.

If you want cheap containers.

100 deli cups for 30 or so bucks.

Then google kritter keepers and get medium which would cost around 4 bucks or so and house your avg tarantula.

I have purchased the ones sold by Bearfoot Terrestrials, they are inexpensive, work well, and are secure. http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/showthread.php?t=95386 I think these are the same cubes as in the post above from a different vendor. The only down side is that you have to be very careful drilling holes in them (or any of the plastic boxes as they crack easily. Also these and the ones in the previous link are the least expensive of their size I found including the Container Store and Michaels. They look better than Kritter Keepers, are less expensive, you can control the airflow by how many holes you make and they stack easily. The only downside I have found is that the lids are a little harder to get off.
